Trade Secret Newsletter: August 2023

As August comes to a close, we wanted to keep you updated with all things trade secrets. We are continuously seeing large trade secret verdicts and legislative/regulatory proposals that will affect these valuable assets.

  • This month, we were thrilled to release a podcast with Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. that features Partner Erik W. Weibust, Managing Director James Flynn, and Stephanie Southwick of Omni Bridgeway litigation funding. Trade secret and non-compete litigation can result in massive damage awards, but those cases can also be unpredictable. Many viable trade secret claims go unexplored due to financial limitations or a lack of willingness to invest in litigation leaving $Millions on the table.  Still, many other cases simply have holes.  MANY companies CANNOT pursue trade secret protection/litigation simply because they do not have the necessary proof needed to show that a trade secret was in fact a trade secret!!   Crown Jewel Protector gets a company “litigation ready”.  Here is the full podcast: https://lnkd.in/g26Qndbn
